Homemade Falafels!!⁣ 🧆🥙

Created a mediterranean falafel bar for our Mother’s Day lunch and it was a hit!⁣ 💐

Ingredients you need for falafels: ⁣
– chickpeas – onions 🧅 – garlic 🧄 – almond flour ⁣(1 tbsp) – coriander⁣ – cumin⁣ – salt 🧂 – pepper⁣

Place all the ingredients in a food processor and blend together roughly. Falafel dough doesn’t need to be very smooth, it adds texture if some chunks of chickpeas show through. I used an ice cream scoop to measure out each falafel ball so you get the right size each time. ⁣

Bake for 25 minutes at 400 degrees, flip, and then bake for another 20 minutes.⁣ ⁣
We enjoyed our falafels in lettuce wraps 🥬 or tortillas with tomato 🍅, carrot 🥕, homemade sweet potato hummus 🍠, and red spicy sauce. A healthier and low-carb alternative to pita bread! (If you want to learn how to make sweet potato hummus, apoorva_attempts for the recipe!) ⁣
